Re: Start of the Wild West Auction: 365 Wild West Scene included!

(...) How close to perfect-original condition is the white minifig hairpiece? It alone may be worth far more than the whole rest of the set. --Todd (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

(...) I couldn't find the hopper car in any of my old catalogs either but seeing as the twin tank transporter listed at $23, I would think the blue hopper was more like $25 or $30 originally. (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.market.theory)

Re: What happened to Larrys' eBay Hopper Auctions?

(...) I thought our goal was to educate the sellers so that they do not take advantage of people. I do not feel I have a right to try and educate people bidding on someone else's auction. Feedback is supposed to be a ruler of how good/bad the seller (...) (25 years ago, 13-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: FA(eBay): blue hoppers

I certainly understand and sympathise with your budget constraints. A thing is worth, to you, what you are willing to pay, or sell it for(1). To you, the hopper is not worth more than 30.
