I think that the term MIB (Mint in Box) was conceived first. Later, the term MISB (Mint in Sealed Box) was created because MIB was not specific enough. I don't think either term is specific to the Lego market. To me, the better question is, "How is (...) (25 years ago, 27-Sep-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.market.theory)

Is MISB meaningless? Surly if a Lego set is still sealed inside inside its box it must be in mint condition, and if it is not there is no way of knowing? Surly IMSB or ISB is better? (...) [MN] is just short for Mnementh, the name that I use on eBay and BRICKS. It's just a simple way for myself and others to identify my auctions when looking at long lists of just the descriptions, which is helpful when you are looking for other (...)
