Seriously Folks,

I was just curious to see if anyone had received an "Exclusive Gold Chrome C3PO"
in any of their Star Wars sets and if they might be selling them on eBay. So I
checked. There are idoits on eBay selling them for $200.00 at the Buy It Now
price and several starting at the $100 and $50 dollar level. I even checked
bricklink, which is full of idiots that think their elements are worth their
weight in gold, and the prices there are over $150 too.

Come on people! I have seen these up close and they are cool, but not $200 cool!
Just so I do not misunderstand, these are not made out of gold but plated with a
gold colored plating, right?

Even if they were made out of solid gold, I doubt they would be worth $200.

Has anyone been stupid enough to buy one of these at these inflated prices?

Sincerely,

(not that dumb) Todd

(...) Well, by the same token, Princess Leia's used to go for what? Like $50+ bucks? Which was back when she was only ever available in the original Millenium Falcon. And she wasn't even chrome-plated! But with all the hype about there only being (...) (17 years ago, 16-Aug-07, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.market.appraisal)
