  Re: How to get appraisals?

(...) discounting them entirely for right now... it's a lot of data to deal with as it is, it'd be hard to deal with only MIB or MISB or such... I try to make sure all the pieces are there and that the stickers are there, and no, i probably wouldn't (...) (25 years ago, 20-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: How to get appraisals?

(...) Are you discounting the instructions and boxes (and other materials) entirely? Or are you flagging the presence/absence of these extras? I would expect that in high-price-tag cases, completeness and condition of the lot would play a large role (...) (25 years ago, 20-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: Info requested..

I really doubt a 555 would ever approach $400. Because if it ever does, you'll see a LOT of them coming out of the woodwork quickly, and driving the price down. I have one with box and instructions, but very sun-faded, and if it ever got anywhere (...) (25 years ago, 20-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: Info requested..

Hmmm....perhaps I will rethink my opening bid. ;-) As far as stickers go, I wish they had survived 20 years in the attic, but alas, they did not. (25 years ago, 19-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: Info requested..

Also got a 585, 357, and a 560 (I forgot what i mentioned earlier.) I was told by a friend that a complete 555 with great stickers and everything could pull $400... I see there's one on ebay now as well as an imcomplete 363, guess we can see how (...) (25 years ago, 19-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: Info requested..

Wow! I thought 2 of those numbers sounded familiar...555, the hospital, and 462, the Rocket Launcher. Those both bring back some memories. I was assemmbling 555 the other day for sale on ebay. I still have the instructions, but the box is long gone. (...) (25 years ago, 19-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: How to get appraisals?

(...) Not on LUGNET, it's something we've been working on for a few months now, on and off... I think when I get the next release out, we'll be able to show it to the community :) Right now, it's still too manual, and takes too much time to upkeep (...)   Re: How to get appraisals?

(...) yah, we plan to make it graph like that... as well as an all-time-low and an all-time-high... averages, StDev etc... Users will be able to put in a list of sets (that they have, or see in an auction) and it'll help them figure out what the lot (...) (25 years ago, 19-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: How to get appraisals?

Larry Pieniazek <larryp@novera.com> wrote in message news:38D44E45.425D67...era.com... (...) In the UK, the system is different. I select the value of a item. The insurance company quotes a premium on this basis. If the insured item is lost, then (...) (25 years ago, 17-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: How to get appraisals?

(...) Where would we be able to do so? Is this something that you'd try to provide through LUGNET, or would it be an independent venture? It does sound like a worthwhile effort, especially if it does include some kind of graph like eric joslin (...) (25 years ago, 19-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)
