Re: Utah Legomaniacs group name nominations

(...) Hm, what areas are known as "the Bay Area"? I've only ever associated it with the SF area, and I've only lived on the East coast. (25 years ago, 28-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ut, lugnet.org.us, lugnet.loc.us.ut.slc)

Re: Utah Legomaniacs group name nominations

(...) Then maybe it's time to fix that, neh? :-, I had no idea what "Bay Area" was until I came to the States...then I discovered it referred to the San Francisco Bay area...then I discovered it really depended upon which bay you were closest to.   Re: Utah Legomaniacs group name nominations

(...) I'll second this one. Matthew Miller makes a good point about Wasatch not being a term that outside visitors would recognize. Plus GULL makes for a cute inside joke, though I don't usually go for that kind of thing(1). PLEASE let's vote on (...)   Re: Utah Legomaniacs group name nominations

(...) As an outsider, I'd recommend against this one -- Wasatch doesn't mean anything to me, and if I had to guess, I'd probably think "some strange and fabled mountain creature related to the Yeti" before I'd think "somewhere in Utah". That may not (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ut, lugnet.org.us, lugnet.loc.us.ut.slc)

Nutlug? Was: Utah name dicussion: lug or no lug)

I checked and Nutlug.org, .net and .com are still available. My worldwide google search failed twice (timed out). Ashley (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ut, lugnet.loc.us.ut.slc, lugnet.org.us)

Re: Name voting (Was: Utah name dicussion: lug or no lug)

I've been thinking over the weekend about a name for our Utah group. How about... NUTLUG (Northern Utah Lego Users Group) I realized that all of us are actually in the Northern half of Utah...even those of you in Orem/Provo etc. Nutlug is now my (...)
