"Steve Demlow" <demlow@visi.com> wrote in message news:GKnA2M.JsI@lugnet.com... (...) Also, because of the higher than MSRP, they often have older stock languishing on their shelves.   Re: Kohl's $10 off (a $10 purchase) card for grand opening

(...) Last Saturday they had a 25% off Lego sale and had many of the new Harry Potter sets in stock. They were 6-10% above MSRP, but at 25% off that's still not bad. Their Lego prices are sometimes MSRP, sometimes above, but they do have 20-40% off (...) (25 years ago, 3-Oct-01, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.us.tx.aus)

Kohl's $10 off (a $10 purchase) card for grand opening

I got a $10 off (minimum $10 purchase) card in the mail yesterday, corresponding with the Kohl's openings in Austin, Round Rock, and Cedar Park, Texas. It's been a while since I've visited them, but I can't turn down free. If I remember correctly, (...) (25 years ago, 3-Oct-01, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.us.tx.aus)

  Re: Costco: Where's the LEGO?

I live in north Austin, up 183 near Oak Knoll. There is a Costco under construction on 183 between Braker and Duval. The one I visited was in Southlake, though, a DFW suburb. (Visiting family last weekend.) They were giving away 1 year memberships (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.us.tx.aus)

Re: To Tom Reed and James Simpson (Re: Austin Group)

(...) Hi Pat- I live in Austin as well, but I only browse this newsgroup about twice a month due to low message count. I'm 26 and my girlfriend and I are into Town, Train, and Egyptian themes. -brandon (25 years ago, 2-Feb-01, to lugnet.loc.us.tx.aus)

Re: To Tom Reed and James Simpson (Re: Austin Group)

(...) Hi Pat, Looks like you are getting more Austin responses now! I know there are a few others in Austin. I'm not sure you can get them to respond. Maybe they don't read this newsgroup too often. I'm into Pirate's and Castle mostly! I like to see (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.us.tx.aus)

Re: To Tom Reed and James Simpson (Re: Austin Group)

(...) Greetings and thanks for the reply! AFAIK, a state-wide group (out of Dallas) is in the works. I'd enjoy some kind of regional gathering as well, though. Wasn't there a pretty strong Austin group for a while there? james (25 years ago, 30-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.us.tx.aus)

Re: To Tom Reed and James Simpson (Re: Austin Group)

There are more of us here, but we don't post very much. My wife and I moved to Austin last summer from LUGNET heavy Knoxville, Tennessee. While it is nice to have a local community, it's also refreshing to not have to compete with Mike Stanley and (...) (25 years ago, 29-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.us.tx.aus)

To Tom Reed and James Simpson (Re: Austin Group)

Hi guys. There doesn't seem to be much response to the Austin-level dig, so I'm going one level up and try state-wide. We'll see what we end up with. I can't believe I'm the only LUGNET member in Austin! There's bound to be more. Peace, Pat (25 years ago, 29-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.us.tx.aus)

  Re: Austin Local LUG?

(...) I live in College Station (halfway between Austin and Houston). I wouldn't mind going in either direction to get together with other lego enthusiasts! I know there are others in these regions... Tom (25 years ago, 27-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.us.tx.aus)

  Re: Austin Local LUG?

  Austin Local LUG?

So, what is the local Lego User Group for Austin? I've been in Austin since August 2000, I am 33 years old, and love building with LEGO. Just now starting to dabble with trains. Wondering if there are actual LEGO groups that get together and (...) (25 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.us.tx.aus)
