Just in-case you are not reading the general announce groups, I am adding
this to this news group. So, you people at the Lego Imaginarium, contact
us! We are really serious about getting a group of people together to
discuss, play and/or debate Lego! Part of our mission will be to try and
get involved in some local events like at the science museums and things
like that. These types of activities would be an 'if interested in doing'
type activities. For example, the GMLTC a couple of years ago got some
floor space at a train expo and setup their giant train layout. This is the
type of optional things we would like to do! Any and all suggestions will
be considered and decided upon as a group.
So, bottom line, contact us and lets start having fun! We will build a web
page and use that as the driving force for sharing and posting information.
If you don't have internet access all the time (ie, only connect when at
work or friend's house, we can also call you to let you know of upcoming
events). A monthly newsletter may be in order if there is enough to talk
about. We can put survey type stuff in there, a question of the month to
draw some discussion on an aspect of Lego or other building concepts and
interests. For example, I used to paint 25 mm scale figurines. Some of my
model houses in the Land of SparrowHawk came from this area of interest. We
could have a section of what's good material to use for creating models that
give great detail or stuff like that! Anyway, enough babble.

Onto the original post:
Is there anybody in the Minneapolis/St. Paul/Western Wisconsin area who
might want to get together and form TCLUG (Twin Cities Lego Users Group)?
We don't have to have regular meetings or anything to start, we could start
by meeting at a toy store (like TRU) or lets says the Mega Mall (Lego store)
or something like that? Brian Kasprzyk and I have been talking about
starting a group and have looked at the groundwork to a LUG for the twin
cities area (and surrounding). We are looking for anyone with interest in
Lego (all levels of experience and interest). If you have interest, please
let me know, you can reach me (Jamie) by email at cowrack@yahoo.com or Brian
at bk@legobuilders.com . We want to hear from you!
Thanks!
Jamie/Brian
