| Actually, a magnet and reed switch would be more reliable than a touch sensor. Or maybe use an optical sensor. I'm not into train cars and such, but I'd be happy to contribute some motorized RCX-controlled scenery. The RCX remote control makes it (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

| Ack! I just found out that reservations for the room can be made one month in advance, so all the Saturdays for February are already full (they do go fast!). | Sounds neat. I still think we need to build some digital motors, or a train whistle module, with the whistle timing controlled by the voltage on the track. The other idea that might be simpler is to build a larger brick/module with a touch sensor (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

| Hi all. I just had an idea. Would sound effects be good whenever there is a sizeable Town/Train display to add to the ambience of the layout? I could make an ambience recording for a Town that would loop on a computer listening to shoutcast station (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)
