I have aquired a motor and battery box similiar to that in set # 116. I am going to try and recreate the engine and tender from this set. The motor has four train wheels attached, but only three have the rubber traction tires. I am looking for one (...) I've got some large blue tarps for the play zone... I might even be able to provide enoughh bricks PRIMO/Duplo and standard LEGO to stock it...BTW I do have an idea for a grab bag type of deal, using a small sandbox with toy rakes..for a $1 (or even (...) Hi All, Has anyone else built a "real" pod racer where you eliminate the tan 2x plates, bricks, etc. and use black 12 gage solid copper wire to support the control "cabin"? (you also need additional clamps in front) Mark (25 years ago, 4-Jun-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf, lugnet.starwars)

The X-10 Lamp module controllers can only handle resistive loads, like lightbulbs. Inductive loads (like motors) screw them up royally. (The dimming is accomplished by switching off each AC cycle early. Inductors don't like to switch off in this (...) (25 years ago, 3-Jun-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)
