I have no objections to trains.  The only train I have is the Railway
Express, but I bought it so that I could experiment with different designs
not just to have sit around.  So the trains sounds like a very good idea to
me.

I'm free for the next couple of Saturdays as well.  Having Jon at the
meetings can also be dangerous, I just feel compelled to spend money and buy
parts.  Must resist...urge...to visit...baylit...... ;-)

I think this is a great idea.  Because LEGO has its train contest, would
people have objections to starting with trains?  Having Jon at the meetings

your collection.

As far as the brainstorming is concerned, don't think about it too hard.
The idea is just to run with whatever thought is in your head at the moment.
For example, right now I'm thinking about blue bricks.  It doesn't make any
sense; however, someone may be able to take that idea and make it into
something more cohesive.  The other thing is there are no bad ideas in
brainstorming.  Please say whatever is on your mind.

I'm free on the next two Saturdays.  Is anyone else?

I just thought of an idea for a meeting.  We could pick a theme or a concept
ahead of time and everyone could build a MOC to represent that concept and
we could bring our MOCs to the meeting to see what everyone has come up
with.  And if you're like me who doesn't have a lot of time in the evenings
to build, the bring a sketch or a description of what the MOC would look
like.  Kind of like a mini-building contest.  But it wouldn't be a "contest"
where we'd be competing or anything, more of way to see how everyone
interprets the concept.  It could even be spread over several meetings to
really allow for a design to be fully realized.
