Re: NILTC Show at Illinois Railway Museum - Aug 15-17 and Aug 23-24

(...) You've had problems with guest trains in the past? Do tell! The only problems the GMLTC has had recently is when a kid brought his Hogwart's Express. We're so used to running our 8-wide trains - they require almost full throttle - we ran his (...) (21 years ago, 18-Aug-03, to lugnet.trains.org.niltc, lugnet.loc.us.il)

Re: NILTC Show at Illinois Railway Museum - Aug 15-17 and Aug 23-24

(...) Well, we discourage "guest trains" from the audience, simply because we had a rather unique experience with a kid whose trains we offered to run. BUT - if you're an established member of an established train club, I don't see how running your (...) (21 years ago, 18-Aug-03, to lugnet.trains.org.niltc, lugnet.loc.us.il)

Re: NILTC Show at Illinois Railway Museum - Aug 15-17 and Aug 23-24

(...) What is the NILTC club policy on "guest trains"? If someone were to say, make a road trip, and brought a train (8-wide, of course) - could they run it on your layout? Great pics, btw - lots and lots of fun 'eye candy', and great work modelling (...) (21 years ago, 18-Aug-03, to lugnet.trains.org.niltc, lugnet.loc.us.il)

The basic unit is 32x32, but we easily accommodate other multiples of 16, esp. 48 x 48 and 32 x 16. (FUT lugnet.org.us.indylug) (...) (21 years ago, 18-Aug-03, to lugnet.loc.us.in.ind, lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Next show

So, I made it to the Lego Road Show on Sunday. It was kind of cool. I've been trying to come up with an idea for adding an RCX controlled device to the layout. On the way home, my wife came up with a good suggestion. I don't want to go into details, (...) (21 years ago, 18-Aug-03, to lugnet.loc.us.in.ind)

(...) After reading Jim's, John's, and Cale's postings... Just to add my two cents... I like the YOHALALUG thing. I figure I better respond to this posting to keep the possibility of LA attatched to YOHA since I'm from Lancaster. Of course with (...) (21 years ago, 17-Aug-03, to lugnet.loc.us.pa.phi.har)

Pick a Brick -- sooner than expected

From what I was told today by an employee at the Orlando LIC, the store is already being re-arranged to provide space for Pick-a-Brick. PaB should be in operation in a couple of weeks. Mike (21 years ago, 16-Aug-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.us.fl.orl)

  TEXLUG - San Antonio

Greetings, I would like to announce the San Antonio chapter of TEXLUG. After an awesome experience at BrickFest 2003. I came to the conclusion that it would be a great idea for us to have local chapters of TEXLUG. As we are such a large state it (...)
