I never did really think that a Lego shop was viable, so it's not the biggest
shock in the world. I think a shop is just an overhead when theirs so many other
retail channels that can be used. I don't think they ever priced anything
either.

I would tend to agree with you there. The only really great thing was
the PAB, and that could be better served from the web, with a minimum
order, and being able to order at least basic bricks by volume or
selection. This is not the same as LDD/factory though.
