| The "Golden Studs" promotion was a mail-in offer that ran in the UK from 1974 to 1976. Each set bought contained one or more Golden Studs stickers, dependant on value. In 1974, you would get 2 studs in sets selling for under a Pound, 4 studs in sets (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

| i have just purchased a rare set from the 70's which contained an unused sticker sheet. the stickers are gold coloured with the following text. "peel off these stickers stick them on the golden bricks shown on the back of a lego leaflet to claim (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)
