No sale on new Harry Potter sets in Woolies

My branch had three of the new HP sets on the shelf this morning!
I had a 'Escape from Privet Drive' in my hands, but when scanned at the till
it came up 'no sale', and were unwilling to sell it to me, claiming they
needed authorisation from head office. How frustrating was that!!
Did anyone else manage to buy one? Argos didn't have them in stock.
Having seen the box, one thing struck me and that was that there has been a
return to good old traditional boxes, with a thin cardboard sleeve with
plastic tab seals over a corrugated inner.
Oh, and the blue is definitely 'light'...

| I also tried to buy an Escape from Privet Drive from Woolies on Thursday and was told they weren't allowed to sell it to me. I thought about arguing the toss - i.e. it was on the shelf and it even rang up on the till with a price (£24.99), but was (...) (22 years ago, 14-Sep-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)
