This sounds like a great idea, I will watch with interest. I would suggest as a starting point; Top quality MOC's 'Alternative' models (eg chess sets) and 'Alternative' uses for lego (eg picture frames, vases)? (24 years ago, 21-Apr-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)
