Flying up on the 8th and coming back on the 10th cost
the grand sum of 27.20 GBP return! (about 18 of which are taxes) It would
cost
more than that to park the car there for 2 days, I expect! (Chris Dee,
just how close are you to the airport :-) )

If we can get a crowd up on the plane, it'll be a good do! How many can
you put up, Ian?

A three-day fest, sounds cool!

If a bunch of you can make it that would be great. Having flown down to
Jon's fest I can confirm that it's a great wheeze. Mind you, I felt like
a sherpa on the way back, with a bulging backpack and the wooden boxed
set (700K) under one arm. My arm was killing me carrying it all across
London and on the Underground. I was sweating like a pig too as it was
high summer.

We've got a spare double bed if a couple of you don't mind cuddling up,
and plenty of floor space! The B&B in the local village is only
£15/night if anyone feels the need for a proper bed.

So far David Graham and Scott Arthur have also given positive
intentions.

Suggestions for events / competitions / themes welcomed.

As a reminder, the event is open to everyone, including any lurkers out
there, and any foreign visitors holidaying in the area. Further details
on request.

Ok, who fancies flying up from Stansted to the ScotFest on the 9th Dec? My wife is not working, so I'm up for it, and have a provisional pass. I have just checked www.ryanair.com for fares. I just CANNOT believe that they are so cheap. Flying up on (...) (24 years ago, 4-Oct-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)
