I went to the Blue Water shopping centre today at Greenhythe, Kent... It opened last week with 320 shops and 5,000,000 potential customers with a half hour's drive. It's the "largest shopping centre in Europe" (it sez 'ere)... Anyway, while (...) (25 years ago, 27-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) Heard on the radio this morning that The Entertainer Group (allegedly the UKs largest independent toy retailer) are threatening to boycott LEGO if this shop opens. Apparently they fear unfair competition if the manufacturer sells direct to the (...) (25 years ago, 8-Apr-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) If you go to the Entertainer's web site, and click on About Us, then on Branch Locations, you will see where they are. I visited the Sutton branch on my trip to England in the last few weeks and they just had the SW in, as well as a good (...) (25 years ago, 12-Apr-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
