All sound good. I have no probrem doing write ups on what is close to me - but I
could not promise updates on a regular basis.

Also is there any point in including TRU? It is only a small step away from
including Argos. I'd like to see the guide concentrate on the independents. It is a
real pity that that so many independents have been lost. Now the average kid is
reliant on TRU/Argos who are often full of untrained and uncaring staff (esp TRU).

Anyway! If you follow the shopping <by area> link you'll see all the LEGO shops
in the United Kindom! Well, the first seven that have been entered..

The way it works should be intuitive - if you go up the tree to England
<http://www.lugnet.com/loc/uk/en/> and list the shops then you'll only see the
shops for England (Busy Bee at present).

What I need is some opinions - are the three headings (Name, Address,
Telephone) okay, or should there be more.. less.. or something different? BTW,
excuse the lines and the dots..... these will be removed later, possibly when
everything gets parsed into the database.

Also, what would be cool is to get most of the UK LEGO shops in this system -
does anyone else think so? Because I'll need a bit of help to do it :) What's
the general feeling here - would people be happy to enter in information about
the shops they've visited?

If you look at <http://www.lugnet.com/loc/uk/sc/sc/glw/?p=shop-tru2> then
you'll see that descriptions of stock and comments are dated and signed - I
thought it would be nice to keep this history and be able to look back and say
"Argh.. I passed up those 4 Highway Contruction Sets, now worth $500 each!!"..
hmm.. then again! It would also show where everybody had travelled :)

So yeah - I'm basically throwing this open to everyone to comment and
contribute to - tell me what I've done wrong!

Once we've agreed what the tables should look like, I'll post the format here,
so that anyone can add some info, mail it to me and I can cut+paste it in.

Richard

(...) Thats great! Thanks! (...) There would be reasons for including Argos (it sells LEGO) and reasons not to (it's a catalogue shop!). It's a valid place to get new ranges though, so if someone submitted it I wouldn't refuse it :) TRU does (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)
