Re: LEGO Adverts on Channel 5

(...) I've not seen a Star Wars ad, but yesterday while flicking channels I caught ads on C5 for 8448 (around 2pm, during It's A Knockout - ahem) and Znap (later on, 3pm-ish I guess, during their soap opera omnibus repeat). I'm afraid I can't (...) (26 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  LEGO Adverts on Channel 5

Lego are obviously trying really hard to ensure that they get as few sales as possible this year by having all the adverts on Channel 5. At about 17.45 today I saw an advert for Lego Star Wars sets followed by an advert for Channel 5 (at least (...) (26 years ago, 14-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: LEGO/DK event at Ottakars

(...) Ooops! Yes! I started writing a mini-review of it on Saturday but I had to postpone it.. I think everyone will agree that it was a successful event. The task for the day was to re-create a version of Macintosh's Rose - the one they had (...) (26 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  LEGO/DK event at Ottakars

Dear all, Was the Scotish leg of this event worth going to ?. The Sheffield one is in complete confusion - date changed to the 25th, Ottakars not existing in Sheffield (it's at something called The Mission Launch) and 18.00 - 19.00 admission by (...) (26 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  TRU Adventures Mag (UK)

TRU is giving away copies of a TRU version of the Adventures Mag. There is nothing special about the the mag, but I know people collect such things (not me). If you don't have access to a UK TRU, let me know and I'll post a copy out to you. (...) (26 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.general)

  Re: Technic air-dampers

Back in late August/early September, they did not recognise it as a design flaw, but simply a quality control problem. My replacements were identical in design to those in the original set. I have been holding off from returning my broken (...) (26 years ago, 14-Nov-99, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.loc.uk)

  Technic air-dampers

I opened the wing doors on my super car today only to find that one air damper had shattered internally and would not operate. I inspected the other one and those on 8446 and 8447 and found they too were broken, but not to the point of not working. (...) (26 years ago, 14-Nov-99, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: UK 2000?

(...) Very true, but then they have interesting pieces, and if each bus *does* have 6 train-windows, then that would upset the train-bods over here if they weren't released. Richard (26 years ago, 13-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Blue Hopper Car Mania...

I have to side with Larry (and Mike, too I guess). I am sure companies use these limits (one per person/per household) to maximize the effectiveness of their special deal. They are within their rights to make up such rules, and you are within your (...) (26 years ago, 12-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Lego event in Glasgow

(...) It will be a draw, a real war of attrition with sendings-off and punch-ups galore... if Scotland win, everything will be peachy until Wednesday's return match at Wembley; if England win, then it's time to adopt a Scottish accent and/or family!   Re: Blue Hopper Car Mania...
