I was in Amsterdam on holiday (partly to buy the '99 train range) and noted the difference between the UK and the Netherlands. It is not just LEGO trains that are not just popular there, all toys and trains are. Trains and LEGO are all declining in (...) (26 years ago, 17-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

York is a very fine historical city, but totally devoid of good Lego. Only one toyshop in the City Centre (Toymaster) which had only current top-dollar offerings. TRU at the ubiquitous retail park was much the same. The only sets worthy of even the (...) (26 years ago, 17-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
