New British Class 50 'Hoover' in Large-Logo Blue Livery

Here's a new British loco in 8mm:1ft scale. It is 50033 "Glorious" in memory of the real engine of that name being shut up in Swindon (UK) STEAM museum, fully serviceable but unable to run - what a shame! Still, you can go and see it without finding (...) (20 years ago, 1-Dec-04, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.loc.uk, FTX) !

Re: LEGO Brand Store Near Heathrow?

Kingston is almost on the way between LHR and LGW but it'a an awful place to get to and from by car and you'd need to allow at least 5 hours (2 hours to fight through the traffic, park and find the shop, 1 hour to shop, and 2 hours to Gatwick, (...) (20 years ago, 30-Nov-04, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  LEGO Brand Store Near Heathrow?

I will be attending a meeting for work at a hotel near Heathrow 12/1 and 12/2 and wondering if any of the LEGO Brand Stores are near by? Looking at the LEGO.com web site, it appears that the Kinstron-Upon-Thames store ((URL) is probably the closest. (...) (20 years ago, 29-Nov-04, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Lego Train Wins Prize at Hull (UK) Model Railway Show!

At the Hull (UK) Model Railway Show last weekend, my 8mm:1ft scale British Class 28 CoBo engine (known to fans of Thomas as "BoCo") won the A1 Models Trophy for the best "modern outline" exhibit. (In this case "modern outline" means post-1950 diesel (...) (20 years ago, 15-Nov-04, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

  Re: Please?

(...) Posted on behalf of Sian Hockaday of the Brickish Association I'm not from Glasgow, but the best Lego seller I've found in the city centre is John Lewis: Its in the Buchanan galleries, top end of Buchannan street.   Please?

Greetings! Please tell me that there's at least ONE person in the entire UK that knows about at least ONE shop located in the Glasgow proximity that carries the nice FOUR letter brand we know of?   Going to Glasgow on Oct 21-23

Hello! I will be going to Glasgow in a few days and wondered if there by chance would be anything nice LEGO-related to watch (or talk about) while I'm there? Any suggestions on shops, museums, exhibitions, private collections, or geeks in pubs that (...) (20 years ago, 15-Oct-04, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.loc.uk.sc)

  Re: American in London

Kingston-Upon-Thames might be OK if the weather is nice. Short train ride from Waterloo Hampton Court Palace is just down the road and across the park ( (URL) shopping centre. Some good pubs along the river Oh yes, and a Lego Brand shop in the (...) (20 years ago, 13-Oct-04, to lugnet.loc.uk)
