Kingston is almost on the way between LHR and LGW but it'a an awful place to
get to and from by car and you'd need to allow at least 5 hours (2 hours to
fight through the traffic, park and find the shop, 1 hour to shop, and 2
hours to Gatwick, particularly if you're in the rush hour)

By train it is probably not much better, requiring as it would require a
trip into London via tube, then out from Waterloo to Kingston, then probably
back up to London, or certainly close to it, to get a Gatwick train.

I'm tempted to say not to bother. Our prices are 50% more than yours
anyway...

I will be attending a meeting for work at a hotel near Heathrow 12/1 and
12/2
and wondering if any of the LEGO Brand Stores are near by?

Looking at the LEGO.com web site, it appears that the Kinstron-Upon-Thames
store
(http://www.lego.com/legostores/location.asp?x=x&store=Kingston,%20UK) is
probably the closest.

I am departing back for the US from Gatwick at noon on Friday (12/3).
Typically
I would take the bus transfer from Heathrow to Gatwick but if a LEGO Store
is on
the way (and open) between the two, I'd alter my plans.

The LEGO web site doesn't indicate what the hours of the stores are, how
early
and late are they typically open?  My days will be busy with meetings but
my
evening, particularly Thursday, may be open for trip to one of the stores.

Thanks,

Mike
