Re: Are you going to tell them or am I?

(...) Indeed. The current issue has one kid displaying a collection of made up sets (including a Galaxy Explorer)... can't remember the name, but from the UK I think. Cheers Richie Dulin (23 years ago, 27-Mar-02, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Are you going to tell them or am I?

(...) Yep: Number 1, 1999: Chen Jia En (Hong Kong)has a model remarkably like the small exploriens base [a couple of VERY minor differences] Couldn't find last December, so that's probably the one you're thinking of...though almost every magazine (...)   Woolworth's prices go up?

Is it me or have Woolies raised the retail price of their Lego to match everyone else (EG TRU, Gamleys, etc)? Previously Lego seemed to be a little bit cheaper in Woolies than anywhere else. I bought a few Harry Potter sets from Woolies before Xmas (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Are you going to tell them or am I?

(...) <snip> Possibly I'm missing the point but I'd swear there was a kid with a (genuine) Lego set built to the original design published in the Australian/Asian equivalent of the mag sometime over the past 8 editions (2 years) which is as long as (...)   Re: Are you going to tell them or am I?

(...) That's shocking. I'm speculating now, but I wonder how many pictures of kids with genuine LEGO COTS models actually get sent in to the magazine and get filtered out? I mean, would you think of sending in a picture of a known set? Probably not. (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: TRU Big Lego Event!

Thanks Mark! This really is a good deal! What did I get? This: 7146 + free 7201 for £17.99 8550 + 8554 (£1.99 each, or 2 for £2.99) £2.99 8562 + 8563 (£4.62 each, or buy 2 and save £2.50) £6.74 So the total was £27.72... which is more than £25.00 so (...)   Re: Are you going to tell them or am I?

[snip] (...) Well everything I have read on Lugnet about TLC, seems to indicate that they operate in a bubble. They do not recognize the fact that Mega Bloks is a serious competitor. I would not be surprised if the Lego upper management does not (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.dear-lego)
