Hi Mark

As for finding good old Lego (and other old toys) during your trip to • Italy,
there's no general rule, it's mainly a matter of luck. Anyway, some
suggestions can help you:

- The ideal toy shop is a large one located in the center (or near the
center) of the town. It has the look and feel of a shop that's been there
for years.

Not for Rome, in the center there are few toy shops and are very expensive.
Maybe you'll find some set in a toy shop opposite Brasil emabassy in piazza
Navona.
The outskirts are good areas to find something but be careful...

- You can find some Lego in other shops too. In Italy there's a typical
kinfd of shop called "cartoleria" that usually sells stationary but
sometimes also toys. Not  big variety and quantity but you could find some
old ones.

besides "cartoleria", sometimes it's possible to find some old LEGO set in
the tobacconist's

- Don't know much about Venice, but I guess that's not so easy to find toy
shops there. Most of the shops seem to sell stuff for turists (glass • things
and so on). As for Rome, Domenico and friends probably didn't leave too • much
for you, but Rome is a large city and who knows, you might even find
something they missed :-)

When do you plan to come? We have a Legofest scheduled in Rome on March 17
and 18. If you're there in that period we'll be very glad to meet you.

unfortunately (for you :-) me and other roman LEGOmaniacs caught the
majority of available LEGO sets in Rome ;-)
Are you looking for some set in particular?
If you want we might search together some shop I missed.

Ciao

Domenico
