much higher. Are such sets common in France?

I don't know, I don't remember other old sets than the ones I mentioned.
Apart from Nancy I only looked around in Paris last August,
and then I was looking for Mindstorms stuff, not old sets.

PS: My dark age ended 1999-12-31, so 'old' may be relative.
