    EuroFest —Frank Buiting
Hi, Now we have news-group, let's get going! What is the current status? Can't we start some 'project-group' to take the initiative or something? I mean we got to start somewhere otherwise we're all _waiting_ for something to happen... -Frank (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.eu)

        Re: EuroFest —Mario Ferrari
(...) Now we have a place where to store possible attendees and other ideas: (URL) page is maintained by Richard Franks <spontificus@__nospa...ahoo.com>. Anybody can mail him to be added to the list. (...) to (...) Yes, true. But we need at least (...) (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.eu)

         Re: EuroFest —Richard Franks
(...) Yep! Although to make it easier I'll give the non spam-blocked version <spontificus@yahoo.com> :) Please do mail me if you'd like to be added to the list, or if you see a mistake or anything similar - thanks! Richard (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.eu)

         Re: EuroFest —Richard Franks

        Re: EuroFest —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Fair warning. if you get this rolling, I'll probably come. Factor that into your planning. ++Lar (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.eu)

         Re: EuroFest —Larry Pieniazek
(...) I hate me too posts, but me too. Trust me, it was unintentional, although I got a charge out of it. I'm glad you were an intermediary to point it out, though! (25 years ago, 18-Dec-99, to lugnet.off-topic.pun)

         Re: EuroFest —James Brown
(...) into (...) Yup. You can always trust Todd to deal with this kind of stuff. James (URL) at what point does a pun cease to be a pun and commence being an obscure reference? (25 years ago, 18-Dec-99, to lugnet.off-topic.pun)

          Re: EuroFest —Ben Gatrelle
(...) A. When only obscure people get it! Ben (25 years ago, 18-Dec-99, to lugnet.off-topic.pun)

         Re: EuroFest —Fredrik Glöckner
(...) Larry Pieniazek has been so kind as to help me out with some payments once (which I am very grateful for), but other than that, we don't do too many deals. It's not because I don't like Larry Pieniazek's way of doing business (I do!), but (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.eu)

        Re: EuroFest Currency? —Simon Denscombe
(...) Although it was an unintentional pun it still reminds me of a good point. Many of the buy-sell-trades at a LEGOFest involve a bit of cash changing hands - what currency could you do that in considering Euros don't exist in the UK and only (...)         Re: EuroFest Currency? —Jasper Janssen
(...) If you're going to hold it in the UK, standardize on pounds. I don't think if you come to a country you can assume they'll accept your currency. Setting up shop near a Bank, Change-booth, or ATM may be a good idea, though ;) Jasper (25 years ago, 19-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.eu)

        Re: EuroFest Currency? —Simon Denscombe
In article <38b85aeb.436875145@...gnet.com>, jasper@janssen.dynip.com says... (...) That's what I meant in a way - you would really have to standardize in the local currency of the location. (25 years ago, 20-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.eu)

        Re: EuroFest Currency? —Jasper Janssen
(...) Post some signs with various exchange rates on them as reminders. Make the dollar readable from afar, and the rest can be smaller. Jasper (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.eu)
