June 25 in the evening and return to Boston approximately July 12 in
the morning.

I searched the german Opodo.de-site and bahn.de-site for the cheapest tickets
available at the moment:

------------------------
Air France - Euro 840,20 (there and back) via Paris
June 25 - 19:55 Logan Int'l Boston - June 26 - 11:50 Airport Tegel (Berlin).
Flights AF 321 / AF 1734
July 12 - 12:55 Berlin - 17:45 Boston. Flights AF 1135 / AF 332
------------------------
One-Way to Berlin starts at Euro 1214,45 with American Airlines :-(
------------------------
One way from Boston to Amsterdam - American Airlines - Euro 686,08
June 25 - 19:10 Boston - June 26 - 10:36 Amsterdam. Flights AA 108 / LH 6583

Train ticket from Amsterdam Airport to Berlin is Euro 86 for this connection:
June 26 - 14:51 Amsterdam - 21:11 Berlin
-------------------------
There and back Boston-Amsterdam starts at Euro 695,41
-------------------------

Just email me if you need help to browse www.opodo.de or www.bahn.de

Do I have to get a separate visa for each country I visit, or can I get
a two-week EU visa?

I don't know what you get by the US-offices, but you don't need anything for
crossing the border NL/D or D/DK etc. "EU-visa" sounds good if this is an
option.

To meet other AFOLs in Germany, you should announce your trip at the
1000steine.de-Forum or email me with an announcement I shall translate and write
in your name.

Leg Godt!
