The annual Model Train and LEGO show is this weekend at the Dartmouth Sportsplex, November 28 and 29. Saturday November 28 9 am to 4:30 pm and Sunday November 29 10 am to 3 pm. The Maritime Federation of Model Railroaders is having their annual convention at the Old Orchard Inn in Wolfville this year, from Friday May 22 through Sunday May 24. With all the snow days, schools are not doing field trips this year, so VIA moved their Rail Safety Week to Saturday this year, from the normal weekday. Should be bigger and better. The annual Train and LEGO show is happening at the Dartmouth Sportsplex this weekend. The Sportsplex is on Wyse Road in Dartmouth, near the Angus L. MacDonald Bridge and the bus loop. VIA was going to have their annual rail safety day (safety lecture for kids, tour the train, displays including my LEGO layout) on May 1 this year, but Old Man Winter has gotten the last laugh. (...) Thanks muchly. I've found Charlie Brown doesn't work as well as I'd hoped. Kids are the right height to recognize him, but they don't know who he is.
