My VISA bill arrived today. My Lego order was quite respectable in terms

can safely say that was my LAST order that I will be using a Credit Card
on. Lego's Exchange rate is 1.43 if you use a cheque.

Dean: I think it depends on when you ordered (You say you got 1.43 by
cheque; how long ago was this?); I ordered a couple of times on credit card
and both times the exchange was reasonable (1.49 6 months ago and 1.52 less
than 2 months ago -- 1.59 is NOT reasonable, no). Keep in mind ever since
the inconclusive election Nov 7th (8th? can't remember the date exactly) our
Canadian dollar has been declining (and will continue to do so until the
election is completely resolved. Yes, Florida says Bush won but I don't
think it's over... after all, how many Americans are going to accept a
president who won't count all the votes? That goes for both candidates,
btw). I digress; the point is you got extremely unlucky LEGO decided to bill
you during this period (for anyone else in Canada buying stuff from the US
on their credit cards, the same applies still). Our dollar is not going back
up until this whole electoral mess has been completely sorted out.

Yeah, that sucks.

cheque order etc... Also with aprox $9 CDN dollars shipping minimum,
horrific exchange and quite the wait for an order are pretty good
reasons to not purchase from S@H.
Hmm... that IS weird. although they DO state $4.50 USD shipping minimum to
Canada, charging you a 2.00 exchange rate seems outrageous. I got lucky, and
they charged me the US minimum ($2.50 USD) instead of the Canadian one, but
you're right, $9 is nuts.

Maybe we should start doing a VLC mass order to save?? I agree though, and I
don't buy things from S@H that I can get off the shelves either.
