  TRU closings

Hi all you locals! So, this warm weather is a welcome to the snow and cold we have been having hasn't it? OK, back to the topic at hand. Do any of you know if there are any other TRU closings? I am interested in the Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington (...) (26 years ago, 17-Jan-99, to lugnet.loc.ca.on.tor)

  TRU Store Closing Sale

The Markham Toys R Us on Kennedy and Denison is closing and everything in store is 30% off, that includes all Lego. I went there on Wednesday and there weren't many left. But there were some large sets left. mlki@accessv.com mlki 8) (26 years ago, 16-Jan-99, to lugnet.loc.ca.on.tor)

Re: Places to find old Lego sets

(...) Not knowing what to expect is half the fun! I'd go, as long as you don't feel too let down if you find nothing.. if you keep at it you will find something cool! Richard :) (26 years ago, 15-Jan-99, to lugnet.loc.ca.on.tor)

Places to find old Lego sets

Hi, I would really like to know if there are any places that I can find some old Lego sets. I was planning to attend a flea market but I'm not sure if I'll find some treasure down there. mlki from mlki@accessv.com 8) (26 years ago, 12-Jan-99, to lugnet.loc.ca.on.tor)

  Hi from Jeff

Hello all, Thought I'd de-cloak and add myself to the list of Toronto-area Lego folks. I'm into most Lego themes to some degree. I have an RCX, and I do a fair bit of technic building. I also have a Control Lab, and I'm desperately trying to figure (...) (26 years ago, 11-Jan-99, to lugnet.loc.ca.on.tor)

  where's everyone?

Hello? How come there's nobody posting in this newsgroup? isn't there any Canadian Legomaniac from Toronto? mlki mlki@accessv.com 80 (26 years ago, 11-Jan-99, to lugnet.loc.ca.on.tor)

  Re: Local trades

(...) LOL! I went to your page...actually have been there before. Love the Mercenery Mountain (sp?) I'm envious of all your castle wall pieces! The only other "Lego-Maniac" I know in person is my cousin Dave who understands why I have sets displayed (...) (26 years ago, 4-Jan-99, to lugnet.loc.ca.ab.edm)

  1999 sets spotted

I found a bunch of the 1999 sets in the Zellers in Bedford Place mall today. They had some space port, Adventurers, city centre, ninja figure pack, two boats that float, and one of the new mini-technic sets ($5.99 I think). Everything looks very (...)   Re: Local trades

(...) If 8 posts from 4 people count as 'traffic' ;) (...) My interests tend to be castle-oriented as well, although I'm starting to feel the Mindstorms itch - but not quite ~300 dollars of itch yet. The off-line people I clump with tend also to (...) (26 years ago, 4-Jan-99, to lugnet.loc.ca.ab.edm)

  Re: First Post

I'm responding so you don't feel ignored (ha, ha). I'm not far from Ottawa and my lego interests are Pirates, Castle, Wild West and Aquazone. (...) (26 years ago, 4-Jan-99, to lugnet.loc.ca.on.ham)

  Re: Local trades

James, I'm not too local, but this is the only Canadian lugnet.loc I've found that actually has traffic! I would be interested in trades or swapping ideas or whatever, even though I'm a few provinces down the road. I love Castle, Pirates, Aquazone (...)   Looking for local Lego lovers!

I'm an hour south of Ottawa. Anyone in this area interested in selling, trading or talking lego? (26 years ago, 3-Jan-99, to lugnet.loc.ca.on.ott)

  1999 sets

Has anyone seen the 1999 line anywhere yet? I've seen 2 sets in, of all places, a Zellers. Horribly overpriced, too. On seeing that, I rushed over to a TRU thinking (foolish me) that if _Zellers_ had them, TRU must... Sigh. Nowhere else seems to (...) (26 years ago, 31-Dec-98, to lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Walmart Sale

(...) It's a pain finding _anything_ in the Edmonton Walmarts - I didn't even know about a toy clearance! No, I've found that in general, there's only two places to find good Lego sets for decent prices - Kingsway mall (Sears, the Bay and Zellers (...) (26 years ago, 10-Dec-98, to lugnet.loc.ca.ab.edm)

  Re: Walmart Sale

Hi James, I read this group fairly regularly, but message volume is pretty light! As I don't live in Edmonton, it is nice to hear about the Lego sales from a local person. Have you found the toy clearance sections in the various Edmonton Walmarts? I (...) (26 years ago, 10-Dec-98, to lugnet.loc.ca.ab.edm)

  Walmart Sale

Hey, I just found out last night that the Walmart in Capilano mall has 6497 Twisted Time Train on for ~25.00, if anyone's interested. Normally I wouldn't care much for this set myself, but it has several useful bits for castle construction, not to (...) (26 years ago, 10-Dec-98, to lugnet.loc.ca.ab.edm)

Hi from North Etobicoke and U of T MIE

Hi folks, In case you haven't seen my posts from 1994 to now on RTL, I'm Calum. I've met Oliver, Chris and Jeff, at last summer, and have emailed with Gail, Pat, Robin and Ralph (all Canadian RTL posters) before. Just doing the usual hello and my (...)
