Well I gave it one last chance to see if TRU had any 2001 sets. My luck was they didn't have any, but there was a woman from LEGO with a suitcase of LEGO banners etc.. I asked if her she was putting out the 2001 sets or the 2000.. She said "Not at (...) (24 years ago, 5-Dec-00, to lugnet.loc.ca)

You forgot to mention the big ass Penguin made of regular and duplo bricks... complete with lots of pink plates for an ice cream cone! Eatons seems to be trying and gave a lot of thought to their toy department. They also have a massive Rokenbok (...) (24 years ago, 3-Dec-00, to lugnet.loc.ca)

In downtown vancouver the new EATON'S store has a small but high tech toy department on level 2. They had about 4 isles of LEGO and a few large displays. Sighted were the Millennium falcon and the large UCS Sets. The prices seemed to be ~ TRU. I'll (...) (24 years ago, 3-Dec-00, to lugnet.loc.ca)

The Chrome castle sets are also available at the Countryside Toy Outlet in St Jacobs Ontario. The price there was $6.99 each. They also had a bunch of small adventurer sets for 3.99 each. They'll ship to pretty much anywhere as well. AK (...) (24 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.ca.on.tor)
