Here's the next instalment in my program of providing accurate, but possibly
not always useful, information to the residents of .loc.au.
In August, there were 47 posters to .loc.au (up five since July). Only 8 of
them were foreigners (or at least seemed to me to be). There were 269 total
posts to .loc.au, down 80 on August.
Of the 39 Australians who posted (up 12 on July), only 4 made more than 10
posts and 3 made between 6 and and 10 posts.
Each of the eight foreign visitors made exactly one post.
The average number of posts made by Australians was just over 4 (half the
July figure) and the standard deviation was 5.7 . (The median was 2, and the
mode was 1).
The top seven (in quantity, not necessarily quality, especially for the top
entry) posters for August in loc.au were:

20.. Pete White
17.. Allister McLaren
14.. Richard Parsons
8.. Ross Crawford
6.. Ben Whytcross AND Kerry Raymond

Unfortunately,the average length of post and total length per person are as
yet unavailable (sorry Ross!). But it is something I'm working on ;-)
