Hello,
A big thanks to Chris, who until Tuesday was a rep for LEGO in Victoria.
Some Victorians might have seen her around in Toys R Us/Myer most of the
time, otherwise at Ozbricks...
Chris helped with the April Star Wars party, and with many other promotions
at Ozbricks in the last year... Thanks for all your help Chris - sorry to
see you go :(
A big hello goes to Susan Mitchell ( Vic manager )who told Chris a few weeks
ago that it's time for a new job...
There were over 500 applicatiobs for the vacant job recently, and one happy
fellow got the job.... Good luck!
In other LEGO news, Kevin Halls sets are about to appear at Ozbricks, the
first of which will only be a very small $14.95 set. Unfortunately Susan
Mitchell decided it was against LEGO policy to resell these sets, and told
us that we are not able to do this.... I was shocked with this policy and
would like to inform all the LUGnetters that you are strictly not to deviate
off the building instructions of your sets. I propose that all sets are
glued togeher at the LEGO factory to ensure that we cannot add/remove
bits... hmm....
HOT OFF THE PRESS!!!
General Manager of LEGO Australia seems to agree with us that there isn't a
problem with reselling Kev's sets - that's great news, we would have done it
anyway, and weren't going to listen to Susan with this issue...
I think a regular behind the scenes article is in order..... hehehe...
