| | | | (...) Oh yes....spanish is definitely a theme on the Armada line... well, Armada Flagship, and Armada Sentry. Spanish guys (2 of them) are also in a couple of "pirate" sets, Perilous Pitfall set for example. What irritates me about the Pirate Theme (...) (23 years ago, 13-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

| | | | (...) Spanish preserves the second word of the Latin phrase "classis armata" for armed fleet. Armata is past participle of the verb armare, to arm. It follows the pattern where a name for a body part (here, the human upper extremity, arma) grows (...) (23 years ago, 13-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.pirates)

| | | | | (...) I am about half-way through my rebuild (damn tendonitis!) to be christened "Insigna della Infanta". I have 2 centre sections and it isn't looking like a canoe. But still, I felt more height would help balance the greater length. So I've built (...) (23 years ago, 15-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.au)
