The weekend was not good for the Dark Shogun, he failed to take the Hat of
Montgoonery on behalf of Ahab, while Ahab was able to capture the Shogun's
banner from the Briktorians. The attack slide on the Wasabi broke off during
evacuation in Briktoria, and the Wasabi itself began to break up on
re-rentry to LoungeRoom, the planet of the SO SO.
The Shogun removed his Dark Helmet, his epaulettes, and his dark cloak. He
placed his impact pistol on its ceremonial stand, picked up his Katana and
left the SO SO base, saying "I am just going outside, I may be quite some time".
Rumour has it that the components of the Wasabi may be propped together for
a photo session before it's ultimate scrapping.
It is further rumoured that the So So forces will step aside to allow the
Watch of Brick-Morpork to defend the Welshishish honour in future.

How does Ahab do it? Battle after battle he strides on, never dying. Agents
of She Who Must Be Obeyed are now infiltrating the ECSP base in order to
answer this very question.

On another note some bright spark in the medical corp has declared that
stonefish poisoning is not fatal, merely inducing a "death like slumber". At
this news Lieutenant Rightway is regretting his decision to bury Cpt.Quirk
at Puckapunyal on the way back from Bricktoria.
Rumours of a substantial reward for the return of the Quirk (twice voted
most stylish Captain in the quadrant) have led to several forces converging
on the tiny planet. Reports of a medieval age civilisation and the
requirement to adhere to the PrimaryObjective means that several (dodgy)
attempts at an undercover operation will most likely ensue.

James (who expects Quirk to be suffering amensia and delusions, par for the
course, really)

(...) Ahhh... so he's only *mostly dead*. (...) I have instructed Leonard of Legoland to design and build some engines to assist the Watch in the search for Quirk (and might have some "diplomatic" benefits as well). Cheers Richie Dulin The Patrician (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jun-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) In the case of the strike on Bricktoria, Ahab, at the urging of his quiet and unassuming second in command, Flint, decided that the best way to fight that particular battle was to be somewhere else altogether. Ahab sat it out from his forward (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jun-01, to lugnet.loc.au)
