  Pirate ship masts for 6274

I am in need of a set of masts for a 6274 Caribbean Clipper. There is a set of masts on ebay at the moment (with a few other bits) that is currently around $40. Does this seem like a reasonable price (considering there is also the whole set MISB (...) (23 years ago, 25-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) set (...) this (...) These might be the current prices, but I bet the final prices will be a lot lot higher. I've been watching pirate auctions lately and they've been finishing well outta my league. Kerry (23 years ago, 25-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Pirate ship masts for 6274

(...) Can you beat the Crunch-o-matic ! They have been cornering the market on masts and sails of late, be they here or there. The MISB 6274 will go much higher. The 6274 with substituted sails may be a better bet. As the ultimate Lego book says (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

From: "Peter White" <aztekium@optusnet.com.au> (...) Yeah I figured it will probably double the current price, just wondering what sort of price masts go for. (...) I have just about the whole set minus the masts, so I will keep an eye on this set (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Pirate ship masts for 6274

(...) While crutch-o-matic is in the market, it will be inflated. They must be building an armada. (...) The userid: overlord-my-own-beach (or something similar) auctioned a custom 6274 with an extra centre section and an extra mast recently, it (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

From: "Peter White" <aztekium@optusnet.com.au> (...) custom (...) nice (...) Yes, they have another one at the moment, looks very nice: (URL) Best bet is to snag a Flybo and try and add some bits. I have one, but it still needs more/taller masts to (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Pirate ship masts for 6274

(...) I just built a 4x4 black stack underneath my Flybo mast until I got it to about the right height. Stick a cupboard door and a few tool clips on it if you want to make it look like it was supposed to be there. My Wobbegong raises the height of (...) (23 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Pirate ship masts for 6274

(...) "Crutch-o-Matic?" I'm confused. Who the h-e-double-hockey- sticks (as if I need to give more clues as to my origin) is the Crutch-o-Matic? But yeah, the prices are way inflated-- even more inflated than when Frank was building his armada! I've (...) (23 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Pirate ship masts for 6274

(...) Even if I don't get all my ships built, I should bring my box of pirate ship hull parts to Brickfest just to disgust people... (...) Mispelled auction listings are great. I got a good deal once on a lot of trian parts... (...) 6493 Flying Time (...) (23 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) Yup! (...) What is it that attracts all you non-Aussie guys to loc.au? Apart from the fact that we are one of the consistently hottest LUGnet groups around, of course? I mean you must find most of the postings to be completely irrelevant (...) (23 years ago, 28-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) "Flybo" is more poetic don't you think?   Re: Pirate ship masts for 6274

(...) It's actually crunch-o-matic, I was being very silly. (...) Could this be one of those non-US names like the 6285 Dark Shark. Maybe they should have called it Calypso Cruiser. (23 years ago, 28-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Pirate ship masts for 6274

(...) From the "bored at work" department, here's the _only_ google.com reference to "crutch-o-matic": (URL) a rural labour saving device as I had first thought... Crunch-o-matic, on the other hand, was variously: *a piece of exercise equipment *a (...) (23 years ago, 28-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

(...) Someone gave me a hard time that I posted here, once. So I post here every once in a while just to be me. Plus I like Oz. I had a lot of fun when I was there and this keeps the fun going a bit. Plus sometimes you get some amazing deals. (...) (...) (23 years ago, 28-Mar-01, to lugnet.loc.au)
