The dogs would be Great Great Dane size to minifigs.
I have all the Fairy Castle range and some of the older sets, I can bring
some along to the next S'fest to show you.
The fruit are a better chance for use, since minifig tools, weaponry are big
for minifigs anyway. Though the carrots could cater for a minifig feast.

Set #5824 isn't a bad set for AU$19-21, you get some nice building elements
and NO Belville figs (apart from the fairy).
Belville also comes with wands and jewels and chests in strange colours.
