I'm afraid I don't know which film (if any) featured the pointy-tipped
7181 Tie Interceptor; nonethless I think it is the
best-looking of all the TIE variants.

Showed up in the final instalment, known as Return Of The Jedi.  It was the
Empire's answer to the better armed X-Wing fighter and has a greater
sublight speed than most other fighter craft (possibly excluding the
A-Wing).  Still no shields or hyperdrive.  Personally, I'd rather that LEGO
produces a TIE Interceptor and Bomber in minifigure scale, as I can't bring
myself to get the Collector 7181 model (tho nice it is!).
Happy day,
Aaron
