Lego not an original idea? —Santosh Bhat
Apparently Lego has taken Australian (and other) companies to court over their product. Whilst they themsleves may be illegitimate themselves. (URL) personally don't care too much for this article. Especially as it was on the website of a competitor (...) (24 years ago, 17-Dec-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.general)

(...) Well, according to the article itself, they paid for the idea in a settlement - so if they weren't legit at first, they certainly are now. As for the companies - well, some of them at least are producing "copy" LEGO sets - with the same (...) (24 years ago, 17-Dec-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.general)

Re: Lego not an original idea? —Frank Filz
(...) I'm not sure. What I do know (or have an opinion on) is that the LEGO compatibility of these plates is of marginal value. They only have studs on top, and it looks like really all you could do is build on top of them, which seems pretty (...) (24 years ago, 18-Dec-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.general)

Re: Lego not an original idea? —Selçuk Göre
(...) According to the article they also have cases in Turkey. I think there is much more useful things to make for Turkish market than suing copy makers. I don't know what the heck with TLC's presence in Turkey, but even TRUs here stopped selling (...) (24 years ago, 21-Dec-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.general)
