Although I don't often try to buy Lego from the newspaper classified, my • few
attempts at doing so have been thwarted by the early risers of this world.
This causes me to believe that there are many more active Lego enthusiasts
in Brisbane than are represented here on LUGnet.

Hehe, it's not just a Brisbane thing :-) Exactly the same thing happened to
me here in Melbourne. Sellers averaged twenty inquiries between the paper
going out and 9am, apparently!
I don't think its eBay sellers or anything, I think it's just to do with
lots of people wanting them really badly, after all they are the most
popular sets that Lego ever made.

For example, does anyone know if the Brisbane-based e-bay Lego seller
"smazh" is a LUGnetter?

Sadly, a Lego seller doesn't need to have a love of the brick... :-( I doubt
that smazh would be even remotely interested in LUGNET except maybe for the
marketplace groups. Maybe you should ask there.

Cheers,
