(...) I'd always been under the impression that the grade of coal in the exposed seams wasn't quite up to RN standards (they only want the best anthracite, have to keep that smoke down to a minimum!)--but I may be wrong, because I'm going off the (...)   Re: Help wanted with old UK catalogue [long and contains most text/in fo from it.]

Ben, You just described the UK 1966 Catalogue. AFAIK it was available free from toy shops from approx April 66, but was not included in any sets (except _maybe_ 050 and 060); hence it is one of the more difficult to find.   Re: New newsgroup lugnet.sports for Football/Soccer

(...) Aha!! Interesting! OK, hmm, so, OK, can we back up a bit? So, what you're saying (taking both of your posts into account) is that: 1. The official name of the LEGO product line in Australia is "LEGO Football" and not "LEGO Soccer," and 2. (...) (25 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.sports, lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: GPSP -- $22.45

(...) Ok, I'm impressed! Thanks Pete. So what's that Gungan Sub worth? Doesn't look to be as good a set for parts as the Sith Infiltrator but I've now got hubby interested in the SW sets! :) Deidre drb@tasmail.com (25 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

  Re: GPSP -- $22.45

(...) These things are to an AFOL's advantage. Retail price was $87.97 originally, slightly less post-GST. K-mart have had them for twelve dollars less for most of the year. Shelf tickets I have seen, have had a clearance price of $29.xx, less 25% (...) (25 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

  Re: GPSP -- $22.45

(...) What is the normal price for the 7151? After this alert (thanks Dave!) I managed to find one (looked like someone had tried to hide it, unsuccessfully I might add!) at Target Hobart, but I'm curious to know what I actually saved. Target here (...)   Help wanted with old UK catalogue [long and contains most text/in fo from it.]

I'm looking for some information on a catalogue I acquired yesterday in a bunch of mixed parts from the 50's (?) to possibly the 80's. [Includes CA bricks, I think] The main information I'm after is what year the catalogue was issued for, and what (...) (25 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.general)
