Well, what a disappointment. There was a sign saying 20% off Lego, but there
really wasn't much Lego, certainly not the aisle full there used to be.

Maybe they are waiting for the 20% sale to clear some old stock to allow new
stuff onto the shelves?

Yes, I fully agree but my Local Kmart also had Megablocks in amongst the Lego so
as to add to the choice. There was also a new player on the shelves with a 1000
piece set made by Best Blocks! It seems the shelf space for lego is a dwindling
resource but the shelves for building blocks is becoming competitive.

In comparison, the Toyworld at Indro was chocka with a good collection of
stuff including trains, the large ferrari set, some new Technics sets,
Technics motors, and all kinds of nice stuff. So much so, that I decided
that I'd buy a few items for some upcoming children's birthdays.

Again, I fully agree. My local Toyworld is increasing its shelf space for Lego
and the range is very good. They even had a death star. But best of all they had
the new Lego remote control train 7897 for $149.90, so I bought one. I did not
know what to expect but I am impressed by it, although there are some minor
things with it that I don't like (plastic track!) I can see this being
worthwhile to own and suplement a 9V train layout. It will certainly be used
with the BLTG layout. Maybe you should get one of these for a gift Kerry?

Happy Lego Shopping
Gary
