possibly good bucket spotted at TRU (can someone confirm if its any good or not?)

In the current catalog, there is a picture of the 500 piece bonus tubs from
before (set 4679, the one with the good parts in them).
In the store I was in (carousell in perth) they had a sign for them that
said "red buckets".
The actual stock had the same set number (4679) but was packaged in a blue
tub with different stickers on them (showing actual creations built with
some of the parts instead of just showing the large piles of bricks as seen
on the red tub)
The set is being sold at $39.99 and is listed as "only at TRU"
Can anyone tell me if the 500 piece box attached to the blue tubs contains
the same sort of "random/wierd" assortment as the old red tub or if it
contains just bricks and boring bits? (like some of the other bonus boxes I
have seen lately).
Also, can anyone tell me if the parts (in the tub itself and the bonus box)
are in new grey or old grey?
