Re: Anyone seen this at a reasonable price?

(...) If it was the City store I would say they are too dumb, in fact I would say that for a few of their stores! (...) I saw the ones at Knox, and thought about it, but I already had a trolly full so thought that the wife might have something to (...) (25 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

  Re: Thanks Kerry

I'll third the thanks (even with the MB warship on full display). Tim (25 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au.qld.bri)

  Re: Mercenaries and minifig weapons...

(...) Check my webpage again...I hope this helps I tried to provide a few pics (in a whimsical way) illustrating the difference between the two heads in question = ) The head in 6706 is a couple shades darker than the head on my mercenary. The "Red" (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Mercenaries and minifig weapons...

(...) I would have to respectfully disagree = ) I exumed my Wild West figures from my storage closet and compared the 6706 soldier and my "Red" Fox mercenary. The soldier from 6706 has a brownish red print while my mercenary fig has a brighter (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Mercenaries and minifig weapons...

I have to second the motion that set 6706 is the set those particular heads come in. I purchased a slew of them at Kohls for $2@ awhile back. As a result I have many many of those style minifig heads. (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.loc.au)

Thank goodness there's new Space ! (was Re: Anyone seen this at a reasonable price?)

(...) I thought $57 was an amazing price for a flagship set with an RRP of ~$180. Not amazing enough to buy a second one though... The whole landfill thing makes me cry. Couldn't they even give it to charities or schools? (...) 6977 isn't (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au, lugnet.space)

  Re: Thanks Kerry

I also would like to thank Kerry for her hospitality on Sunday. My computer had just played up so I spend this evening fixing it, so i will have the meetings post up shortly. Aaron (25 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au.qld.bri)

  Thanks Kerry

Just want to formerly thank Kerry for hosting the second BUGS meeting. It was a ton of fun. 8 legomaniacs attended and all had a good time. So thanks Kerry you were a great host and I look forward to talking lego with you again in the future. How (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au.qld.bri)

Re: Anyone seen this at a reasonable price?

Martin Scragg wrote in message ... (...) saw (...) I've been looking too... :-) It was one of the things I looked for during TRU's %25 off sale. Annoyingly, the huge stack of them sitting for nearly two _years_ at Chadstone had mysteriously (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

  Re: Mercenaries and minifig weapons...

(...) I noticed that one while scrutinising Brickshelf. The other characters would be one offs for me and there are a few cute parts (brown saddle, bush base, flag, bugle, hats). The set's pretty thin on the ground up here, and frankly it's because (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Mercenaries and minifig weapons...

Dave Low wrote in message ... (...) You might try 6706, hard to see on the picture but I'm pretty sure one of the soldiers has that head: (URL) Vic, I've seen stacks of these both in TW stores, and also at GB's. I guess that they could be absent (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Mercenaries and minifig weapons...

(...) I just dug ot my 6769 instructions... The head was on the Officer with the double-breasted shirt and black pants. It was sunstituted for the handlebar mustache/beard head. In the instructions the other bearded heads appear to have a brown (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.loc.au)

(...) Thanks for the info John. Could it have been one of the soldiers pictured at: (URL) ? --DaveL (25 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Mercenaries and minifig weapons...

(...) I acquired that head in a small eBay lot a few months ago. I put it in a "special bag" for future reference. I thought that head was different... I had only seen a similar version with an eyepatch on Capt. Redbeard. The head I have came from a (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Mercenaries and minifig weapons...

(...) Marvellous!! (...) No yellow zodiacs I'm afraid: only one old red 4-wide. Perhaps a fig for fig trade is in order? --Dave (whose frightfully fugly Flybo featuring festy figs is becoming a stunningly swanky sloop that's swarming with simians) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Mercenaries and minifig weapons...

(...) Well, you could hunt the stores on a vain search for a pirate set (been there, done that) or you could wait until the tenth, and I'll bring along a selection of redbearded fellows from which you can choose one... Got any dinghies :-) Richard (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Anyone seen this at a reasonable price?

I am looking for the 6977 Arachnoid Star Base for a reasonable price. I saw some at TRU during their %25 off sale for around $50, but didn't want one then. I have seen it since for $95, but am looking for somewhere cheaper. Anyone knows where in Oz (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Mercenaries and minifig weapons...

(...) (URL) only fig I could find or think of was Pirate 9, as listed on brickset: (URL) know where else I might find him (or any other redbearded fellow who might realistically play Odysseus)? --DaveL (25 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Lego specials
