Re: set 6713 (was Re: 15% sale at various Coles-Myer stores)

(...) The pincer grips the ball so you can scoot around with it fairly well. If the car goes out of an alignment parallel with the ground (knocked back on its wheels say) the ball is loose. You can also charge/tackle/ram with the other car, but this (...) (25 years ago, 19-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: 15% sale at various Coles-Myer stores

(...) What's the go with the ball grabber. Does it remain gripped until what ? Can you be dispossessed ? pete.w (25 years ago, 19-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: 15% sale at various Coles-Myer stores

(...) Kmart (incorporating W4K) has had a 15% off everything sale yesterday and today in NSW. I'm pretty tempted by the <set:4267> bucket myself. In the TRU sale I grabbed <set:6713 the truck soccer pincer game thing>. It's got a nice range of (...) (25 years ago, 19-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

15% sale at World 4 Kids at Loganholme today and tomorrow

I see in this morning's Courier-Mail that there is a 15% off sale at World 4 Kids at Loganholme in Brisbane today and tomorrow (Mon & Tues 20-21 Nov). Admittedly, Mel & I visited W4K late October and there wasn't anything terribly interesting on the (...) (25 years ago, 19-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Another Aussie Lugnet Member now 24

(...) Hi Peter, Umm.... (checking your math) I joined less than a year ago and I'm number 88. The lugnet memberships themselves are barely a year old! ;-) And, your membership page says you joined in May. (Or maybe that's just the time you paid?) (...)   Re: Another Aussie Lugnet Member now 24

(...) Kerry I joined close to 12 months ago at no 348 add that up and you get about 330 new "lugneter's" in a year (no wonder there is no more Lego around to buy) See you all on Sunday. Peter (25 years ago, 19-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Interesting news found at local TRU.

(...) Nah...That would require two things: 1) Australia actually being targetted by TLG to improve their image/sales 2) That LA have actual OVER-estimated how long it would take for sets to be shipped here. Personally, I can't see either of these (...) (25 years ago, 19-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Another Aussie Lugnet Member now 24

(...) This shows the rate that LUGnet is growing. You joined 18 Nov as #676 and I joined exactly one month earlier (18 Oct) as #599. So 77 new members in a month. Not bad growth! Kerry (25 years ago, 19-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au)

Another Aussie Lugnet Member now 24

Hello all, I just received my Lugnet membership number and we Australians are 24 members strong. While I'm not 666, I was 10 off at 676 Aaron Coghill Lugnet Member #676 Kyola Department Emergency Services (URL) (25 years ago, 19-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Report from the front (well coast any way)

Re: Interesting news found at local TRU.

(...) I assume your TRU already has the UCS kits and the Technic Silver Champion. TRU's locally have had all the stuff in Cat.2000-2. So...could it be 2001 stuff like Movie Maker or ??? Life on Mars has just appeared in Florida....surely not ?!? pw (25 years ago, 18-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Interesting news found at local TRU.

I was talking to the shop assistant at my local TRU, and they said that they had received a shipment of LEGO but couldn't put any of it out until November 25th. They didn't even know what was in the shipment as they didn't have an inventory list or (...) (25 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Doctor, what do you prescribe ?

The Chemist chain Soul Pattison has a couple of Lego items in it's cat. Basic set 4219 is $21.95 (rrp $28.95). Lego Duplo Capsules are $5.95 (rrp $7.95). The 4219's were at Toyworlds for $19.9x, but they seem to have gone. I use one of the Duplo (...) (25 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Race 3-pack at K-mart

(...) I think K-mart are only restocking for Xmas. Some of these value packs are a misnomer, as the sets inside are often cheaper bought individually at Big W. The most glaring example is a set of three ninja 118x series I saw in a value pack at KM (...) (25 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Race 3-pack at K-mart

At Kmart Geelong i picked up a "Value Pack" containing sets 6707, 6618 and 6619 - the smallest of the race sets for 12 dollars (The one you don't get is the tiger guy) It was the first interesting thing i'd seen there in ages, the same place only (...) (25 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

8448 Super Cars still at TRU for $96

If anyone is still interested, TRU in Frankston (Vic) still has 4 of the 8448 Super Cars for $96 (they are hidden around a corner, so you have to look for them). They seem to have woken up to the fact, that they had a 25% off sale on an already (...) (25 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au)
