  Re: Looking for a Flybo...

Dave have you arranged to get one of these Flybo sets yet? I still have a spare sheet as both I and my son are in the Lego club, I could get you one, but I will have to write my sons membership number on there and we can have it sent to you, can (...)   Re: GREY & WHITE BRICKS?

(...) The Blockmen have taken Richard hostage. MegaBloks are even being talked about outside off-topic/clone in an open manner ! See the dear Lego thread ! pw (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Grey and White Bricks?

(...) Give in to your feelings Kevin. Look to your imagination, and see the castles, spaceships and military models. Reach in and touch them. Storm the battlements, and whoosh through space. And now look to the scarce Lego with which you might build (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: small black cat

(...) Okay, I don't have/want a cat so it wasn't until Pete started making his warm and toasty references that I figured out that the censored word in Kevin's post was "Heat", making the phrase in question, "Cat in Heat". At least that makes more (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: 1200 buckets (was: Looking for a Flybo...)

(...) Maybe they made them with cheap Brazilian labour and rainforest harvested ABS, hence the phase out of these buckets (with the closure of the Brazil factory)? Someone tell me if that's a completely wrong assessment... --DaveL (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

  Re: GREY & WHITE BRICKS?

  Re: New Duplo Trains

(...) Thanks for all your excellent comments Deirdre!! (...) The first thing I did when I opened the <set:2738 box> was set it up to make half a double bridge. Do you put straight or curved track between the four bridge sections you make? (...) Let (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.duplo)

Re: 1200 buckets (was: Looking for a Flybo...)

(...) Assuming we just get the Euro selection, it's strange that Europe doesn't get a rectangular bulk bucket. They make them for Duplo, so why not for basic. Do the residents of the US use that many more basic bricks. Or is it a matter of pricing (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: 1200 buckets (was: Looking for a Flybo...)

(...) I think the 1200 bucket is exceptional even by N American standards though: people have compared the price per piece in the S@H bulk packs quite unfavourably with those buckets (except for the colour and piece range obviously). --DaveL (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

  Re: It's oh so quiet!!

(...) Someone has to pay for the pollies 'free' petrol, 'free' travel and super entitlements. (...) We have just passed 4000, it has livened up a bit. (...) At the prices we will get them, you will be able to personally address each element by name. (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

  It's oh so quiet!!

It is ever so quiet in the .au groups at the moment. Perhaps I should mention that the government is planning to increase import duties on Toys. (that is a November 2 fools joke I hope). Perhaps everyone went nuts at the Myer/GB sale and is at home (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

  Brisbane tilt train (australia)

First off I'd like to say a hi here to the people in .trains. I've been lurking here for a while and have admired many of the brilliant MOC's. I have a question for train enthusiasts.   New Duplo Trains (was Re: Myer Value Packs)

(...) Buy track, and tunnels, I'm not impressed with the new sets (see below). If that's your 1st bridge, buy another, much more you can do with two. Lots of straight track, you'll probably pick up enough curved track in other sets. I've bought (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.duplo)
