Re: Anybody seen the new Duplo Trains yet?

(...) They can't be that far away for me then, another couple of weeks at the most! (...) Aha, thanks for solving that mystery! And for anyone that was actually interested, Myer Hobart's mystery cartons last week were Primo, Mickey Mouse, and Race. (...) (25 years ago, 12-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  RE: Lego DACTA in Australia

But in Australia, DACTA is run through LA...In fact at one stage you could order DACTA [or at least get info] from LA only. The reason I'm assuming that BradJ is the best contact is that the personel [except customer service] are about as useful as (...) (25 years ago, 12-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.dacta)

  Re: Lego DACTA in Australia

(...) This seems like a real stretch to me. Suddenly BradJ is in charge of the educational division? I think you would have a better shot at actually calling someone at Dacta. (25 years ago, 12-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.dacta)

Re: Long barrelled, bayonet equipped muskets

(...) knife (...) Longbows were replaced by firearms, not crossbows, and that was primarily out of disuse more than effectiveness. Bruce (25 years ago, 11-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au, lugnet.pirates)

Re: Long barrelled, bayonet equipped muskets

(...) Yup that would explain it. Doh! (...) I'll certainly bring along a squad. I haven't decided whether to field them. I think I'm still better off with long bows. I seem to recall that historically crossbows replaced longbows because while they (...) (25 years ago, 11-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au, lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Lego DACTA in Australia

(...) Dacta sales are probably "Sales to the educational market", not "Sales to consumers." At least, that's my guess. (25 years ago, 11-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.dacta)

Re: Long barrelled, bayonet equipped muskets

(...) It was in an email (that's why it's not here!). Here's the original plan: I've figured out a way to make a bayonet. (warning: involves mods) Take a modern rifle, an adventurers camera and a divers knife. You can get the first two in many (...)   Re: Review of the 5571 Black Cat / Big Rig / Big Truck

(...) Any sign of these 2870s in the Sydney region? I thought Paradisa was well and truly dead... Maybe BigW has discovered a few unopened crates from 1997-98: see the pile of 6568s that have turned up for $18. --DaveL (25 years ago, 11-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

  Long barrelled, bayonet equipped muskets

Following on from Dave's post on rifle modifications to carry a diver's knife as a bayonet (which post I can't seem to find, sorry): Works a treat. In fact, I've done some fooling of my own ;-) Important note to those faint of heart and under the (...) (25 years ago, 11-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

RE: Anybody seen the new Duplo Trains yet?

Another set spotted... Target Box-Hill: 2936 Station $69.95. [And that red thing is a door which has a round section pulled out to the track side, and a letter slot in it.] Benjamin Whytcross BWhytcro@PacificAccess.com.au Ph: (03) 9856 5282 (...) (25 years ago, 11-Sep-00, to lugnet.loc.au)
