  Re: Brisbane kangaroo sculpture

For the non-Brisbane-ites, here are the original Brisbane kangaroo sculptures, so you can see that Tim has been faithful to the original concept in his vig. (URL) (17 years ago, 12-Apr-07, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Brisbane kangaroo sculpture

From the looks of the muscles in the legs of that roo, Mullet-Head is going to have one nasty headache in the morning. Perhaps he'll even develop a photographic memory as a result of the camera embedded in his head? Heh, I couldn't resist. Nice vig, (...) (17 years ago, 12-Apr-07, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: Educational Experience no longer selling LEGO

(...) Their order form has a "tick the box" where the options are "personal" and "school/childcare" so I assume this means they are happy to deal with the public. But, if ordering from them, be aware that their listed prices are exclusive of GST, so (...) (17 years ago, 11-Apr-07, to lugnet.loc.au)

Educational Experience no longer selling LEGO

I learned today (from Bernard Catt) that as from January this year, Educational Experience is no longer be selling LEGO educational products. So the only source in Australia is now Moore Educational, except for the occasional foray by Tricky Dicky. (...) (17 years ago, 11-Apr-07, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Brisbane kangaroo sculpture

(URL) Those of you that have been to Brisbane will probably know the ones I mean. It's a bit big but I figured it was a worthy compromise of size and accuracy. Tim PS. Yes the camera is pointed where I want it pointed. (17 years ago, 7-Apr-07, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX) !

  Re: Brickvention 2007

Great news about a proposed date. Will the next Brickvention be held in Melbourne again? I'll have to start planning my holidays. Family are already keen to come to the next one. I will bring the remote control Batmobile, have to think of some other (...) (18 years ago, 5-Apr-07, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Brickvention 2007?

(...) No, it will not. We decided instead to move it to the January long weekend, so the next one is being planned for January 2008. ROSCO (18 years ago, 5-Apr-07, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Brickvention 2007?

Does anyone know if any national event (of any size) is going to happen in 2007? (18 years ago, 4-Apr-07, to lugnet.loc.au)

rave review of Lego creator set 4939 - Cool cars.

Just bought this small set at my local Myer for $11.95. Set comes with instructions for 3 different models. So far I have only built the car that looks a bit like a Ferrari with the gull-wing doors. Other models were a truck cab chassis and a racing (...) (18 years ago, 31-Mar-07, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Cafe Corner

(...) Designer as a theme is dead. Sets that would have been labeled "designer" in the past (like the jet fighter) are now labeled creator. (18 years ago, 21-Mar-07, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Cafe Corner

(...) Well Creator is still there for me - (URL) and it has a link on the main themes page. No Designer though :( ROSCO (18 years ago, 21-Mar-07, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Cafe Corner

(...) Indeed, for me, Designer and Creator were indeed my favourite themes of recent years. But when I walk into the shops, I am not seeing this kind of stuff. I am seeing the juniorised quick-build stuff. It is Shop@Home that is supplying my needs. (...) (18 years ago, 12-Mar-07, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Cafe Corner

(...) I believe that is exactly the plan. I understand there's also a slim chance of something similar being done in the space theme (SPACE CITY!), but at the moment that's in the hands of the ambassadors, so don't hold your breath. Allister (18 years ago, 12-Mar-07, to lugnet.loc.au) !
