heh, well they look VERY bright, so they must be new. That area of miniland is
baaaaaadly faded, so you can really tell the new stuff that is put out. I have
not been there since, so I have no idea if it was just a 'show of support' or
somehtng that is going to stay in miniland. Either way I am very surprised to
see them there - AFIK all aspects of Lego try to stay away from social
commentary like that.
But ya, I do not envy you with having to put up with the traffic in Balboa Park
that weekend. Traffic is bad there on weekends when nothing is going on... I
would hate to think what it was like when one of the largest events of that type
was going on down there...

| As a funny anecdotal story, I just completed a large family outing to San Diego, stopping at the zoo, Sea World, and of course Legoland while there. Well, a funny thing happened to me on the way to the zoo. Unbeknownst to us our family vacation was (...) (21 years ago, 29-Jul-03, to lugnet.legoland.california)
