now I seem to have misplaced the darn paper. It must be buried in my "wedding"
paperwork. When I find it, I'll probably type it in and post it as an official
PR, cross-posting to here. sorry 'bout the delay.

Watch for complete details appearing in January 2001 on a new
TECHNIC themed roller coaster and possibly a few other structures.
Exciting additions are ahead!

Ashley Glennon
Manager of Sales, Promotions and Sponsorships
LEGOLAND California

this new ride is due to open this spring (2001). There's recently been an update
to the official LL CA website -- A new homepage and some content. No new press
releases though. None since 2000.

I have a print copy of the press release regarding Ashley's teaser above. It
contains more info than this new link:

Anyone want me to scan it in?

Sure, the scan would be great!

Ditto from me too, Suzanne!

I have a few pics of the cars they will be
using, they had both the real car and lego model of the car (Hey ED! this is
for you! lol) I took some pics of both and I told Ed I would get them up, so
here it is:

Mark - very good of you to remember... your pics are much better than mine
from my visit there, for sure. Well done! Thanks for all your efforts to
bring more of the essence of the park to us.

When I was at Legoland last week I saw how far the ride was coming along, it
looked like all they had really done was get the drop all set up, and what a
drop it is! It taller then the spellbreaker (is that whats it called? I
always forget) ride, a good amount taller. and the drop is steep! I am
talking about real theme-park steep! It is right next to the spellbreaker
behind the auquazone ride. I have a pic that you can kinda see the drop in:
http://brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=36294
scroll all the way to the right, look by the yellow ride thing (auquazone
ride) you will see a slope, thats it - it looks small, but it is the
furthest thing in the pic, you can only get an idea of the drop in this pic.
I may have taken a different pic of it, but it would be on the other roll of
film I wil be getting developed next week.

I hope the new ride will be open for our wedding! wheee!

I hope so too.
